Before Harry began working under the hood and turning wrenches on the NASCAR Camping World Series, he had to make a career decision between his first love, auto racing, and his skilled trade, construction. It wasn’t much of a choice when childhood friend, Mike Olsen and owner of Fadden Racing, hired Norcross on a full-time basis at the conclusion of the 1995 season. Prior to that first year as a full-time crew chief, Norcross helped with the basics around the shop and worked his way up to his current position. Because of their lifelong friendship, Norcross and Olsen had an immediate chemistry.

Norcross gained a ton of valuable experience during the 1997 race season after spending several months working out of Bobby Dotter’s shop in North Carolina. There, Norcross was mentored by Dotter as Olsen embarked on a limited Nationwide Series schedule. He learned tricks of the trade in chassis work, downforce and fabrication techniques that were just not practiced in the Northeast, where a majority of Olsen’s schedule occurred.

Over the next 13 seasons, Norcross and Olsen, together with their #61 team, posted six victories, including an unforgettable win at the legendary New Hampshire Motor Speedway, 63 top-five, and 135 top-10 finishes. They scored 12 pole awards and two NASCAR Camping World Series championships (2001 and 2006).  Under Norcross’ leadership, Olsen finished in the top-10 all but one year (1997).

When the checkered flag fell on a championship-winning season in 2006, Olsen announced he would be retiring from full-time racing. Norcross was only focused on the 2007 season despite the possibility he would be out of a job at its conclusion. But the Olsen-Norcross relationship, it was soon learned, would continue past Olsen’s own driving career. The North Haverhill, NH-driver announced he would step into the ownership arena, and didn’t want anyone calling the shots from the pitbox but Norcross.

Norcross resides in North Haverhill, NH with his wife, Karen and sons Michael and Christopher.
